Meet Entrepreneur Ebony M. Watson
Ebony M. Watson is a Licensed Clinical Therapist, speaker and adjunct professor at the University of Southern California and Virginia CommonWealth University. With extensive experience in treating trauma, grief and loss, depression, life transitions and anxiety. Watson uses innovative modalities including Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed care and Creative Art Therapy. Watson has worked with all backgrounds and cultures for eight years, known for her authentic non-judgmental approach to counseling.
As a first-generation college student, Watson obtained a dual degree from Virginia Union University in Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She later went on to complete her Master’s of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Watson studied abroad at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. During her international studies she worked with a non-profit organization called Young-In Prison where she provided free counseling services to inmates who had repeated offenses.
Most recently, Watson integrated even more creative approaches in her counseling sessions, including partnering with Master Craft Production LLC to provide music therapy through Rest with Music. The first Rest with Music will be held on October 2. 2025 at the University of Southern California for faculty and staff.
